Anti-Beta-Catenin (9F2) Monoclonal Antibody

詳細技術說明
Project #:  D1995-12aAntigen Specificity: Beta – cateninClone: 9F2Host species: MouseReactive species: Human, MouseDescription:The monoclonal antibody 9F2 reacts with human and mouse beta-catenin. Beta-catenin, along with alpha-catenin and gamma-catenin, belongs to the family of catenins. Catenins comprise a large family of Ca2+-dependent, homotypic cell-cell adhesion molecules that play important roles in development, epithelial cell polarity and tumor progression. Beta-catenin potentiates hyperproliferation and tumor formation. In the nucleus beta-catenin, it complexes with transcription factors and thus regulates the expression of specific genes. By its dual role, i.e. a structural role in cell-cell junctions and a regulatory role in the nucleus, beta-catenin can transduce changes in cell adhesion and junction formation to control transmembrane signalling and gene expression.Applications: Western blot, Immunoprecipitation, ImmunofluorescenceReferences: 1.        Johnson, KR; Lewis, JE; Li, D; Wahl, J; Soler, AP; Knudsen, KA; Wheelock, MJ.
