Researchers from the University of Illinois have developed a series of cyclic urea compounds for one component polyurea processing and formation.These cyclic urea compounds, incorporated with dynamic urea bonds, are in chemical equilibrium with polyurea chains. Polyurea will form when the cyclic urea compounds are heated in high concentration. This processing method uses low viscosity one-component precursor, and therefore is more convenient than conventional two-component methods.
