-
Currently used image processing methods are qualitative in nature. A quantitative evaluation of image processing has never been commercially attempted and implemented. Moreover, to date, it has been practically challenging to evaluate crimped structure of fibers as opposed to straight ones. This approach discloses a novel image processing method to successfully quantify the orientation of fibrous structures.
