*Abstract: This discovery describes the formation of a multi-IE gene knockout vector based on HSV that is structured to eliminate vector toxicity and allows for the incorporation of large elements into the vector. These are the next generation of HSV based gene transfer vectors. They are useful fo the production of therapeutic gene transfer vectors designed to transfer foreign DNA into cells of a host including humans. Available as a non-exclusive license
