*Abstract
Researchers at Nagoya University successfully isolated multiple GA-insensitive dwarf mutants in rice and identified the causative gene, GA insensitive dwarf mutant-1; GID1. In addition to finding that GID1 protein to be a cytoplasmic receptor that mediates GA signaling, the researchers identified genes and GA-binding proteins involved in GA signaling.
