This system considers the cell-based screening with gaseous and mechanical (e.g. shear and stretch) cellular environments, which are typically missed in conventional methods. Hence, potential drugs can be screened with seeded cell cultures to examine their responses for improved cellular environments. Similar procedures as the drug investigation can be applied to stem cells to examine their criteria for specific cell lineage differentiation.
