Piezoelectric ceramics, less expensive than quartz, have wide applications in medical diagnosis. The invention relates to a piezoelectric resonator that detects the presence and concentration of target markers in samples by measuring the resonator frequency changes brought about by the markers. The biosensor comprises a ceramics resonator circuitry, a frequency calculation circuitry, and a microprocessor.
