A CityU researcher has developed an apparatus minimize the hassle of untangling connection cables of earphones, the key component of the apparatus is a “C-shaped” securing device or a notch-like structure. The securing, holding a section of the connection cable, can be protruded from the side of the apparatus or recessed into the side of the apparatus. The apparatus may further comprise a cover or a casing and the securing device may be set on a surface of the cover or the casing.
