The invention provides a traditional Chinese medicinal formula and its preparation methods for treating and preventing menopausal symptoms and osteoporosis. The formula is prepared by boiling Radix Angelica Sinensis, Radix Astragalus and Herba Epimedii according to specific ratio. The formula is proved to possess significant estrogenic effects and proliferation and differentiation effects on osteoblast without adverse effects. The formula can be further developed into the novel TCM drugs for treating and preventing menopausal symptoms and osteoporosis.
