Lectin Biosensor
- 详细技术说明
- SERS Selectively Identifies LectinSurface-enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) can selectively detect toxic saccharide-binding proteins (lectins) such as Ricin B Chain (RBC). The technology first attaches glycopolymers to gold-coated nanoparticles as the capture matrix, and then performs SERS to detect any lectins attached to the glycopolymers. These methods could be used for ricin detection, for screening and/or monitoring of food and water supplies, and may even be adapted to detect other poisons.Selective Ricin DetectionThis technology could potentially outperform other methods based on its ease of design, synthesis, and application. It is expected to offer more selective ricin detection than other techniques, such as those using aptamers or thiolated carbohydrates along with SERS, ELISA, electrochemical, or other immunoassays. It is unique in that glycopolymers are used for affinity-based lectin binding.BENEFITS AND FEATURES:Easy design, synthesis, and applicationSelective ricin/lectin detectionCaptured lectins can be detected or removedAPPLICATIONS:Ricin detectionSensing of biohazardous toxins such as RBCTesting food and water suppliesPrevention of potentially hazardous outbreak of toxinsPhase of Development Proof of concept
