Aspects of the invention utilize flow battery reaction cells configured fordistribution throughout a transport system to increase electrical power by maximizing membrane surface area relative to reaction cell volume. Further aspects of the invention utilize a small space in a transport system relative to lithium‐ion batteries and conventional flow batteries. The newly developed flow battery can be installed in electric vehicles or any other type of transport system that requires a clean power source, including aero-transports, ships, and robots. This new flow battery system is an innovation that will create a new market and valuable network of energy supplies for transport systems by resolving the key obstacles of current battery technology; the main obstacles involve a long charging time and poor cycle life.
