Dr. Popescu from the University of IL has developed a new method for real-time cell traction imaging. This method is compatible with conventional fluorescence microscopes and can measure cell force traction and visualize the cell evolution simultaneously over extended periods of time. This method will improve understanding in mechanotransduction towards physiological and pathological outcomes.
