Polymer Foams from 1,2,4,5-tetrazine and polydienes
- 详细技术说明
- Title: Foams from 1,2,4,5-Tetrazine and Polydienes Invention: This invention is an optimized synthesis of parent 1,2,4,5 tetrazine and polydienes, which is capable of creating a solid polymeric foam with as little as 5 mol% tetrazine. Background: Polymer foams are found virtually everywhere in our society and are used in a variety of applications. Said foams can be produced through different methods such like pouring slab-stock, extrusion and molding. The technology presented here is a tetrazine synthesis that is more soluble in polymers than previously reported methods while additionally creating a residual tetrazine free colorless foam. Applications:Disposable packaging for productsInsulation material Advantages:Prevents cross-linkingInexpensiveIncreases thermal stability of the resulting polymerLack of reactive chloro groupsColorlessIncreased solubilityUniformAntioxidant properties Licensing Manager:Paul EynottPaulE@tla.arizona.edu(520) 471-2687
