The Electro-Mechanical Resonant Sensor (EMRS) is a new type of magnetic field sensor that will be able to satisfy the growing demand for low-cost, high-sensitivity sensors. EMRS can be used as an inexpensive and dependable alternative to traditional sensors in a broad range of possible applications, including GPS units and particle accelerator magnets. Manufactured using low-cost nano-fabrication techniques, EMRS can been capsulated to attain Q values of approximately 1000.
