Flow Injection of Dielectrophoresis of SWNT's
- 详细技术说明
- Apparatus and Method for the Enrichment and Separation of Single Wall Carbon Nanotubes based on Type and Size
- *Abstract
-
Advantages
Provides a means for simultaneous type and size separation of SWNTS. Methods exist for the separation or enrichment of SWNT by length (GPC) or by type (numerous techniques); this method enables the separation of SWNTS by type, length, or diameter or combinations thereof.
Technology
This device and process separates SWNT by dielectric constant and size via dielectrophoresis field-flow fractionation
Potential Applications- Electronic, biomedical, and energy conversion and storage applications often require a single type of SWNT; however, conventional carbon nanotube manufacturing processes produce a complex mixture of SWNT types and sizes. With further refinements, this invention is expected to allow the efficient and affordable separation of technologically useful amounts of semiconducting SWNTS for electronic device development or production.
- Analytical tool for characterization of SWNTs
