Electrostatically Tunable Microwave Resonator
- 总结
- Purdue University researchers have developed an electrostatically tunable microwave resonator based on electrostatic fringing-field MEMS actuators. This technology allows for the achievement of continuous and complete analog frequency selection with continuously tunable microwave resonators and preselect filters.

- *Background
- Electrostatic actuation is a common method used to drive microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) devices achieved by applying a voltage difference between opposite electrodes of a deformable capacitor. Fringing fields are the fields that are formed outside of the electrode plates. Currently, tunable resonators and filters based on electrostatically actuated MEMS are limited by the pull-in phenomena.
