- Researchers at Purdue University have developed an app that allows you to identify problems with your plants. The first extension of the Plant Doctor Suite is the Purdue Tree Doctor. The app contains a database of over 1,000 images of hundreds of tree-related issues. The user identifies the tree type and then selects the part of the plant affected. A series of high definition images appear. The user compares the images with their plant's issue. When they find a match, they can select the image for detailed information on how to manage the problem.
