Tau C3 Monoclonal Antibody
The Tau C3 mAb, with its high affinity for the immunogen, is a powerful toolfor the detection of caspase cleaved tau in tissue and in solid phase assays .In addition to its use in tissue staining it may also be used for pull-downassays.The Tau C3 mAb was derived from a hybridoma cell line created through thefusion of SP2/o myeloma cells with splenocytes from a mouse immunized with apeptide corresponding the the C-terminus of tau truncated as aspartic acid 421.The hybridoma cell line (IgG1 subtype) was subcloned four times and stored infrozen liquid nitrogen. Tau C3 is specific for tau truncated at aspartic acid421; it neither reacts with full length tau, nor does it react with other tauC-terminal truncations.
