Anti-Tartrate-Resistant Acid Phosphatase (TRAcP or TRAP) Antibodies (11100)
Monoclonal antibodies for Tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAcP or TRAP). TRAcP is expressed primarily by hairy cell leukemia cells, osteoclasts, and activated macrophages. In serum, TRAcP exists as two related glycoprotein isoforms (5a and 5b).The 5a isoform is clinically relevant for a number of conditions as a marker of inflammation (including but not limited to rheumatoid arthritis and related rheumatic diseases, chronic granulomatous diseases including sarcoidosis, inflammatory bowel diseases; obesity and its related diabetes and metabolic syndrome; cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease with its attendant nutritional and inflammatory conditions). The 5b isoform Available Antibodies and Assays 1) Monoclonal Antibody (clone 9C5); 9C5 reacts specifically with TRAcP, recognizing both isoforms 2) Monoclonal Antibody (203) specific to human TRAcP; Mab203 is a mouse mab that recognizes a unique native epitope in the TRAcP molecule and reacts with both 5a and 5b isoforms. The unique property of mab203 is its ability to neutralize/inhibit ~80% of the TRAcP enzymatic activity of both 5a and 5b isoforms. It's uses include quantitative IA of human TRAcP5a protein in serum, biological fluids, cell homogenates, or tissue culture medium, and for IP of native TRAcP from biological fluids or cell homogenates. 3) Monoclonal Antibody (89) specific to human TRAcP isoform 5a; Mab89 is a mouse mab that recognizes a unique native epitope in the TRAcP5a molecule that is absent from TRAcP5b. Mab89 is useful for IA of human TRAcP5a in serum, biological fluids, cell homogenates, or tissue culture medium; also for IP of native TRAcP from biological fluids or cell homogenates, for western blot of denatured protein sources, and IHC. 4) Monoclonal antibody (14G6) specific to human TRAcP; Mab14G6 is a mouse mab that recognizes a unique native epitope in the TRAcP molecule. Mab14G6 is useful for IA of human TRAcP in serum, biological fluids, cell homogenates, or tissue culture medium; also for IP of native TRAcP from biological fluids or cell homogenates. 5) TRAcP 5a Protein Assay; The assay utilizes two monoclonal antibodies (mab 220 and mab 162) along with standard material available as a recombinant protein expressed by a stable cell line.
