- Queensland University of Technology (QUT) researchers over many years have worked closely with patients and service providers to develop relevant healthcare innovations. The WomenΓÇÖs Wellness Program aims to enhance healthy lifestyle behaviors and self-management strategies that decrease the adverse effects of menopausal symptoms and the risk factors of chronic diseases including heart disease, diabetes type 2 and osteoporosis. The program achieves this through the delivery of a supportive 12-week lifestyle program which helps women set in place healthy lifestyle habits regarding physical activity, diet, smoking and alcohol intake while promoting wellness. An opportunity exists for industry players to partner with bluebox to develop this promising lifestyle program for the delivery to a much wider audience. Industry partners may wish to utilise the research expertise that exists at QUT to optimise the program further for their specific requirements.
