This is a genome-wide screen for the association of SNP markers with inter-individual variability in pain following mastectomy will provide with a set of human polymorphic genes/markers that contribute to the trait independently and/or through interaction. Psychosocial and psychophysical profiling will identify a unique signature that may predict pain chronicity, intensity and/or quality in post mastectomy women.This data will help to personalize pain management in the future by tailoring peri-operative care according to individual genetic background and predictive non-genetic factors.Available as a research tool
