Hybridoma 3C9 produces a mAb with very high affinity against Clostridium perfringens enterotoxin (CPE). It recognizes a linear epitope present in the C-terminal half of CPE. Consequently, the mAb can block CPE binding to cells and can neutralize CPE toxicity. It works on Western blots and ELISAs for CPE detection. Antigen: C. perfringens enterotoxinClone Name: 3C9Isotype: IgG1Immunogen:C- terminal of C. perfringens enterotoxinApplications: Western blot, ELISAsSpecies reactivity: Clostridium perfringensGene/Protein information:Manuscript reference: Wnek et al., Infection and Immunity, 1985, 50:442-448.The recombinant E. coli strain produces CPE with a His6 tag, which assists purification using metal affinity resins. This CPE is active and reacts with CPE antibodies, including the MAb produced by hybridoma 3C9 (Czeczulin et al., Infection and Immunity 1993, 61:3429-3439.).Available for non-exclusive license
