This disclosure involves the use of the cre/lox mouse knockout system to produce a fetal specific knockout in order to study the fetal signaling during pregnancy. It also allows the investigator to study more than one knockout gene in fetal signaling. The added advantage of the system is simply as a tool for knocking out a number of genes in the mouse without the usual difficulties that are encountered with the methods used to create multiple knockouts that are available today.Available for license as a research tool
