Immunoregulatory Agent for Tolerance to Food Allergies and other Allergies with Potential for Anaphylaxis
- 技术优势
- Tolerance can be obtained, in some cases, with as few as one dose Induction of antigen-specific tolerance avoiding global immune suppression Convenience of either oral or nasal delivery A range of antigens can be fused to a single ligand protein enabling tolerance to the full range of antigens that may trigger a specific allergic reaction Ability for the mucosal ligand delivery molecule to bind with almost any antigen allows the development of highly selective immunoregulatory agents to different allergies and diseases
- 技术应用
- Multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune diseases, Inflammatory Diseases, Allergies
- 详细技术说明
- A broad range of antigens can be fused to a single ligand protein enabling tolerance to the spectrum of antigens that can cause a particular allergy. Application of the immunoregulatory agent can mediate tolerance after a single oral dose or with minimal dosing. Studies have shown that the fusion protein can regulate peripheral tolerance to either nasal or oral delivery providing convenience and increased patient compliance. This technology could also be developed for applications in autoimmune diseases, organ transplantation and in cancer immunotherapy.
- *Abstract
-
This invention represents a potential new strategy for eliminating the adverse effects of allergies. Its an approach to developing highly potent, allergen-specific immunoregulatory agents that use a mucosal targeting ligand fused to a specific allergen antigen to induce tolerance a select antigen.

Usefulness: CATALYTIC DELIVERY NANOUBSTRATES (CDNS) FOR HIGHLY EFFICIENT DELIVERY OF BIOMOLECULES | NANOSUBSTRATS À DISTRIBUTION CATALYTIQUE (CDNS) POUR LA DISTRIBUTION TRÈS EFFICACE DE BIOMOLÉCULES
Summary: As molecular delivery system useful for delivering a molecule of interest into a cell selected from tissue culture cell, a primary cell, an immune cell, a stem cell, or a neuron. The molecule of interest is a nucleic acid, a protein, a polysaccharide, or a small molecule (claimed).
Novelty: Molecular delivery system comprises substrate with nanostructured surface region having nanostructures and covalently attached to region, multiple copies of first member of binding pair; and vector nanoparticle having molecule of interest
