Treated breast cancer (MCF-7) cells were treated with compounds (I) for 24 hours, followed by MTT analysis to determine their effects on cell proliferation. Compound (2S,3R)-trans-5,7-bis(acetyloxy)-2-[3,4,5-tris(acetyloxy)phenyl]chroman-3-yl-3-(acetyloxy)benzoate caused 70% inhibition at 25 μM.
