ENRICO COVERI had his first success in the mid seventies. During his first appearances on the pret-a-porter scene in Paris, he earned the title of the “enfant prodige” of Italian fashion.The innovative style is firmly based on elements that will always be the cornerstones of the Enrico Coveri style.
In 1977, he presented his first collection for the first time in Paris. The international press was very appreciative and remarked upon the spontaneous exuberance of his creative talent. In his collections, colour is vital energy and he does not reject it even during the long seasons in which non-colour shades seem to be in fashion.
In the whole world, the Enrico Coveri style has actually become synonymous with colour, whether it be in simple or precious materials.
SILVANA COVERI has always been sole director of the various companies of the group. Since the premature departure of her brother Enrico, helped by her children, she has continued the intense creative and organizational work that she previously shared with her brother. It is, in fact, one of her children, Francesco Martini, who has inherited most of his uncle’s talent and his gift for making women sexy. He made his first appearance on the catwalk in October 1996 with the young line of the Maison, You Young-Coveri.
