Existing methods for multi-string applications require many windings in the isolation transformers because each converter output needs one winding. This invention, a dimmable LED driver, can reduce the number of windings. It also possesses a two-secondary-winding structure to generate several sources. The parallel LED strings are powered by a common master source and individually regulated.
