This invention relates to the use of nanostructures as filter materials to extract therapeutic components from Chinese medicinal herbs. Existing methods of extraction of herbal components include chromatography and freeze drying. The researchers proposed an alternative method that taps on interactive properties of nanostructures to extract the therapeutic molecules with different aromatic rings.
