On-road Plume Chasing and Analysis System (OPCAS)
Vehicle emission is a significant source of air pollution problem in urban areas. Traditional test methods are often limited by high cost, low efficiency and limited functionality, preventing their urban applications. The On-road Plume Chasing and Analysis System (OPCAS) provides an alternative and cost-effective approach to overcome such limitations. Featured with low operational cost, fast and non-intrusive detection of emission, OPCAS is able to quickly analyze on-road vehicle emissions without interrupting their operations and identify over-emitting vehicles among large number of vehicle population in cities, thus providing an efficient solution to urban air quality problem. The OPCAS can also be used for tunnel emission, air quality monitoring, point-source emission detection, and environmental disaster prevention etc.
